NY Lawmakers Head Back to Work in Albany

Days after New York’s Legislature officially started with Gov. Andrew’s State of the State address Wednesday, the bicameral body starts its 2014 session in earnest on Monday, The Associated Press reported. The GOP-dominated coalition in charge of the Senate on Monday will issue a report on public hearings on state regulations, while Assembly Democrats have already introduced a bill to speed implementation of a $9 an hour minimum wage to the end of the year, a full year ahead of schedule.
