Erekat Says Peace Talks Have Failed
While Israel made another goodwill gesture to further the peace talks by freeing convicted Palestinian terrorists with blood on their hands, Chief PLO Negotiator Saeb Erekat declared on Monday that the talks are already a failure and should be closed down, The Jerusalem Post reported.
In another attempt at blaming Israel for lack of progress, Erekat said, “We don’t need the nine-month period [set by Kerry] to judge the talks. Israel has foiled the talks.”
Referring to a ministerial committee’s decision to grant support to a bill that would annex the Jordan Valley, Erekat asked, “What does this decision mean?”
He called on the PA leadership to apply for membership of international organizations and forums with Arab backing.
