Dogged ‘Baby Hope’ Cop Promoted

NEW YORK -

One of the detectives who did not give of solving the decades-old murder of “Baby Hope” was promoted Monday, WABC reported. Robert Dewhurst, who was promoted to Detective Second Grade, helped discover new evidence earlier this year to reopen the case of an unidentified girl found in a cooler in Manhattan in 1991. In October, a relative of the girl, whose real name is Anjelica Castillo, was indicted on murder charges.
