Bias Claim by Lakewood Tent City Founder Rejected

LAKEWOOD, N.J. -

A federal civil rights claim by the founder of Lakewood’s Tent City that township officials were purposefully making life difficult for them has been rejected, the Asbury Park Press reported Monday. Rev. Steve Brigham of the Lakewood Outreach Ministries, founder and resident of the homeless camp, filed the housing discrimination claim in May 2012 arguing the town wrongfully removed 14 structures and had taken various steps to try and harass and evict the campers.
