Pol Wants NYC Crackdown on Scofflaw Drivers
A bill introduced to the New York City Council Monday would allow prosecutors to file felony, rather than misdemeanor, charges against drivers who kill or seriously hurt someone while driving with a suspended license. The impetus is the death Friday of an eight-year-old boy killed by a tractor-trailer as he walked to school.
