NYU Gets $50M in Sandy Recovery Gift
NYU Langone Medical Center announced Friday a $50 million gift from cosmetics tycoon Ronald Perelman to expand the emergency department that was battered by Superstorm Sandy. The 22,000-square-foot Perelman Emergency Center will more than triple the size of the old emergency department. It is due to open in April.
