Judge Dismisses Rangel’s Bid to Overturn Censure

WASHINGTON (AP) —

A federal judge on Wednesday dismissed a lawsuit by Rep. Charles Rangel to overturn the 2010 House censure of the New York Democrat for financial wrongdoing. Rangel’s demands implicate “insurmountable separation-of-powers barriers” to the court’s authority, the judge said, adding that Rangel’s quarrel is with the House, and it must stay there.
