Disabled UK Tourist Files Notice of $27M Claim

NEW YORK (AP) —

A British tourist who lost a leg when a taxi jumped a curb and hit her in Manhattan’s Rockefeller Center started the process of suing the city. Sian Green’s $27.5 million claim says the cabbie’s hack license should have been suspended before the Aug. 20 accident because he had prior driving violations. Cabbie Mohammed Fasyal Himon says the accident wasn’t his fault but the city is reviewing the claim.
