Postal Service Starting Same-Day Mail in N.Y.

NEW YORK -

The U.S. Postal Service announced in a regulatory filing that it is planning to start same-day delivery in the New York City area by expanding a test program it started late last year in San Francisco. The USPS plans to begin “in the near future,” they wrote, according to the Daily News. The move is part of the USPS’s bid to better compete with private shippers such as FedEx and UPS.
