Hispanic Claims Wrongly Stopped at Macy’s
Maria Paez, of Venezualan origin, claimed Tuesday she was wrongly accused of shoplifting at Macy’s for speaking Spanish, adding to the fire of race accusations made by minority customers over the past month. She was charged with larceny and possession of stolen property.
