IAF Retaliates for Rockets Shot From Gaza

GAZA (Reuters) —

Israeli aircraft bombed two rocket launchers in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, hours after Palestinian terrorists fired rockets and mortars into Israel.

There were no casualties in the attacks on the first anniversary of the IDF’s Pillar of Defense counterterror operation in the Palestinian enclave. The Egyptian-brokered ceasefire following Pillar of Defense has seen numerous violations, though southern Israel has enjoyed significantly more security since then.

Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for firing the mortars, which landed in open areas in southern Israel.
