Charges Dropped Against Tent City Founder

TOMS RIVER, N.J. (AP) —

Witness tampering charges have been dropped against the minister who founded a homeless encampment near the New Jersey shore.

The Rev. Steve Brigham lives at the so-called “Tent City” in Lakewood. The charges stem from Brigham’s arrest in 2012 after a woman claimed he had cut up her tent to get her to leave. Brigham said the woman was being disruptive.
