16th Ave. Added to Cleanup Initiative
A street cleaning group will be temporarily working on Boro Park’s 16th Avenue several times a week after a $20,000 funding budget was obtained by Councilman David Greenfield.
The Midwood Development Corp’s Project Sweep, well-known along Avenue M in Midwood, deployed its Project Sweep, manned by local adults with developmental disabilities, to clean up districts across Brooklyn.
“Midwood Development Corporation believes that clean streets and sidewalks are a critical part of every vibrant commercial strip,” said MDC Director of Operations Sam Moskowitz.
Greenfield has previously organized several neighborhood cleanup initiatives, but acknowledged that “we still have work to do.”
