Cheers Greet Christie Upon Return to Statehouse

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) —

Gov. Chris Christie was greeted by cheering staff as he walked through the front doors of the New Jersey Statehouse for the first time since winning a landslide re-election.

Staff members lined the halls and applauded as Christie returned to work full-time Thursday after winning a second term by a margin of 22 percentage points. The possible 2016 GOP presidential candidate shook hands and was hailed by well-wishers. He also spoke with a Girl Scout troop touring the historic building.
