Speeding Manhattan Driver May Have to Give Up Car
The driver who posted a video of himself speeding around Manhattan in just over 24 minutes may have to permanently give up his car.
Police asked a judge to order Adam Tang to forfeit the 2006 BMW Z4 used in the Aug. 28 ride, citing a city law that allows them to seize vehicles used to commit a crime. A dash-cam recorded the BMW along the 26.4-mile loop stopping for only six red lights. Tang, 30, said at the time that “being a fast driver doesn’t mean that you’re inherently a bad or reckless driver.”
