Dinkins to Leave Hospital By Week’s End
Former Mayor David Dinkins is expected to be released from the hospital by the end of the week, days after being admitted with pneumonia.
The 86-year-old is getting better, walking the hallways, greeting people, reading the papers, watching the news and signing letters. On Tuesday, he voted from his hospital bed for Democratic mayoral candidate Bill de Blasio, a former aide of his during his 1989-1993 administration.
