Survey Balloon to Be Visible Over Lower Manhattan

NEW YORK (AP) —

A big balloon will be visible over Lower Manhattan starting this week, part of a project to take photos for a building survey. The tethered balloon, about the size of a weather balloon, will be launched over 80 South Street and flown at an altitude of about 950 feet during daylight hours until Dec. 1.
