Rabbi Avraham Zuckerman, z”l

Rabbi Avraham Zuckerman, z”l, dean of the Bnei Akiva network, passed away on Motzoei Shabbos in Hadera at the age of 98.

In 1939, Rabbi Zuckerman co-founded the Bnei Akiva yeshivah in Kfar Haroeh along with Rabbi Moshe Tzvi Neria, and they headed it together for over 50 years.

Rabbi Zuckerman was hospitalized on Tuesday at the Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Hadera and was released on Erev Shabbos to his home in Kfar Haroeh, where he passed away.

Born in Lithuania in 1915, Rabbi Zuckerman studied at local yeshivos and moved to Israel in 1936.

Rabbi Zuckerman is survived by his wife, Rivka, three daughters and two sons, 36 grandchildren and more than one hundred great-grandchildren.

The levayah was on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at the cemetery in Kfar Haroeh.
