Plaza Sues Over ‘Eyesore’ Citi Bike Rack

NEW YORK (AP) -

New York City’s block-long bike rack in front of the landmark Plaza hotel is an eyesore, and it wants it removed immediately, a lawsuit filed against the city says.

“The bicycle rack is not only an eyesore, stuck squarely in between two of the city’s most famous designated landmarks, but it came at the expense of a full lane of traffic,” the suit claims.

The suit also claims that the row of bright blue Citi Bikes has reduced the four-lane drive across from its main entrance along Grand Army Plaza to three.
