Rangel Among 8 Reps Arrested at DC Rally

At least eight Democratic members of the House were among about 200 people arrested Tuesday after they blocked a main street near the Capitol during a massive rally seeking to push Republicans to hold a vote on a stalled immigration reform bill.

Among the arrested were New York Reps. Joe Crowley, the Queens Democratic party boss, and Charlie Rangel. They were charged with “crowding, obstructing and incommoding” under local D.C. laws. Rangel was released less than an hour later.
