2 Arrested In Psagot Shooting
The IDF has arrested two Palestinians suspected of perpetrating the terror attack in Psagot in which a 9-year-old girl was shot and wounded, according to media reports on Tuesday.
Investigators believe that one of the men planned the attack, while the other was an accomplice. Both are from the Palestinian village of al-Birah, which borders Psagot.
A Palestinian source identified them as brothers, Majed and Ala Asawi.
The victim, Noam Glick, was treated for a “light” gunshot wound at Shaarei Zedek Hospital inYerushalayim.
According to her father, Yisrael Glick, “Noam surprised the terrorist and actually scared him so that — instead of entering our house — he shot her.”
“We feel fortunate,” he said after the incident. “The terrorist was well-equipped and planned to enter our home. It was only due to Noam’s screaming that a major disaster was averted,” he told Ynet.
