Thursday Deadline To Apply for 9/11 Compensation
With the deadline to register for the Victim Compensation Fund for 9/11 first responders and survivors approaching Thursday, Councilman David Greenfield is urging everyone eligible, including Hatzolah volunteers, to apply.
The federal fund is open to ill 9/11 first-responders and survivors from terror attacks. Anyone who wants to seek compensation in the future must register by the deadline, even if they are already receiving benefits through the separate World Trade Center Health Program.
