Metals End Mixed, Crops Edge Higher

NEW YORK (AP) —

Metal prices ended mixed, while crop prices edged higher.

Gold for December delivery fell 20 cents to $1,363.80 an ounce. Silver edged higher, but other metals fell slightly.

Silver for December delivery rose 15.6 cents to $23.172 an ounce. December copper fell 0.55 cents to $3.2570 a pound. October platinum fell 60 cents to $1,473.50 an ounce, and December palladium fell $1.45 to $691.20 an ounce.

Major crop prices posted modest gains.

December wheat rose 1.5 cents to $6.48 a bushel. December corn rose 3.5 cents to $4.725 a bushel, and November soybeans rose 3.25 cents to $13.5825 a bushel.
