Rochester Airport Gets $828K Federal Grant

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) —

The Greater Rochester International Airport is getting an $828,000 federal grant for taxiway improvements.

Rep. Louise Slaughter said the U.S. DOT grant will fund the rehabilitation of taxiways that are in poor condition. he Rochester Democrat said Monday that the grant will help ensure a smoother and safer experience for travelers.

Previous federal grants to the airport this year were for runway safety and for a new rescue and firefighting vehicle.
