Ferry to Statue of Liberty Makes Hard Landing
A ferry shuttling passengers to the Statue of Liberty made a hard landing at a pier Tuesday afternoon, but there were no serious injuries among the 497 passengers and nine crew members aboard. Three people suffered minor injuries but refused medical treatment. Coast Guard investigators will test crew members for drugs and alcohol and look for possible environmental or mechanical problems.
