New Ad Encourages NYers to Enroll in Insurance
New York’s health benefit exchange has a new name, logo and look. Officials said Tuesday the federal overhaul expected to bring coverage to more than a million people statewide is now dubbed “NY State of Health.”
In a one-minute-long ad, a narrator tells viewers that everyone deserves affordable health insurance and then directs them to the state’s website for the official exchange marketplace.
Last month, officials approved health insurance rates for 17 insurers planning to offer coverage through the exchange. The monthly premium rates for individual plans range from an average of $170 for the cheapest coverage for single adults to $965 for the most expensive coverage.
