L.I Street Renamed After Slain Cop

The Long Island street NYPD officer Peter Figoski lived on has been renamed in his honor, officials announced Saturday, making Midwood Road in West Babylon, “Officer Peter Figoski Way.”
Figoski was shot in December 2011 responding to a home invasion in East New York. The ceremony was attended by his four daughters, mother and various police officials, including NYPD Commissioner Raymond Kelly.
