Baby Falls Out Window Through AC, Clings to Awning
A Brooklyn toddler is lucky to be safe after she squeezed past an air conditioner, fell out a second-story window and was left clinging to an awning that kept her from plummeting into the street.
The sudden appearance of the 18-month-old on the narrow ledge sent bystanders into a panic Friday. One man tried to reach the child on a ladder, but it wasn’t high enough.
Qing Chen finally climbed out onto the roof, grabbed the child and took her to safety. He said the child’s grandmother was watching the baby and had no idea she had disappeared.
