Shooting at Harlem Complex Days After Pols’ Sleepover

NEW YORK (AP) -

Police say a woman has been shot at a New York City public housing complex where five mayoral candidates spent a night this past weekend to spotlight problems in public housing.

The 23-year-old woman was hospitalized in stable condition after the gunfire early Tuesday at the Lincoln Houses complex in Harlem.

Democratic candidates Bill de Blasio, John Liu, Christine Quinn, Bill Thompson and Anthony Weiner stayed with different families in the complex Saturday night. They were there to examine mold, holes in walls and other issues.
