A school bus driver has been arrested on drunken driving charges by police investigating an alcohol poisoning and drug possession case in upstate New York.

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office says 47-year-old Manon Coyne of Avon was arrested as she drove up to a house in the town of Geneseo where deputies had found a 49-year-old man with alcohol poisoning Monday morning. She had just safely driven five Geneseo Central School students to a summer program, but appeared intoxicated. They say her blood alcohol level was 0.24, three times the legal limit.
