TOMS RIVER, N.J. (AP) —

A New Jersey man already serving a life sentence for killing a police officer has pleaded guilty to an unrelated slaying.

Ocean County prosecutors say 21-year-old Jahmell Crockam pleaded guilty Wednesday to murder in the October 2010 shooting death of 20-year-old Justin Williams in Lakewood. The plea came as jury selection was about to start in the case.

Crockam will likely receive another life term — with no chance for parole — when he’s sentenced Aug. 9. He is already serving a life sentence for murdering Lakewood cop Christopher Matlosz.
