Bnei Brak Helps Man Find Money in Trash Dumpster
A resident of Bnei Brak was saved from a devastating financial loss thanks to the efforts of the municipality, Arutz Sheva reported.
The man had put a large sum of cash into an envelope. His wife, not realizing what it was for, threw it out.
When he realized what had happened, the man called the Sanitation Department and tearfully begged for help. The mayor’s office agreed to intervene, and contacted Netanel Nachum, who manages the Sanitation Department and local police patrols.
The city stopped garbage collection in the entire area where the money was thrown out, while city workers and yeshivah students helped him search the large trash dumpsters for his missing money.
Their efforts ultimately paid off — the missing envelope was found hours later with the entire sum still inside.
The owner sent his emotional thanks to the city of Bnei Brak and to all who helped.
