Bloomberg Adds 2 Hamptons Properties

NEW YORK (AP) —

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has added to his roster of high-end real estate. Newly released information shows he bought a house and a vacant parcel last year in tony Southampton, N.Y., next to a 35-acre estate he already owns.

The mayor’s office released his financial disclosure report and redacted 2012 tax return Thursday. They paint a very general picture of the billionaire’s finances, with no specific dollar numbers.

The information from City Hall indicates only that he paid more than $500,000 apiece for the new Southampton properties. They likely cost more.

The mayor lives in a Manhattan townhouse. He owns a dozen other properties in Bermuda, London and Vail, Colo., among other places.

The form also reveal for the first time that Bloomberg has foreign bank accounts in London, Paris, Hong Kong and Bermuda.
