Dock Missing From Central NY Marina Found
Authorities say a 32-foot-long floating dock worth several thousand dollars has been found after going missing from a marina on a central New York lake.
Onondaga County sheriff’s deputies tell local media outlets Tuesday that the dock was found and secured by a neighbor of Oneida Bay Marina in the town of Cicero, on the southern shore of Oneida Lake just north of Syracuse.
Officials initially said they believed the dock was stolen late Saturday night and Sunday morning by someone who used a boat to tow it away.
But they say now it evidently came loose and floated away. They aren’t sure how. It’s valued at between $4,000 and $6,000.
