Lakewood to Honor Driver of Burnt Special-Ed Bus

LAKEWOOD -

The bus driver and assistant who removed a group of special-ed students from a school bus before it was engulfed in flames will be honored, TheLakewoodScoop.com reported.

The honorees will be given a plaque by Mayor Isaac Ackerman during the next public meeting.

A bus ferrying children last month from the School for Children with Hidden Intelligence went up in flames, but the driver and bus matron removed all of them before anyone was injured. The bus was destroyed.
