Ice Cream Season Begins With a Turf War

GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. (AP) —

Authorities say the chilly relationship between rival upstate New York ice cream truck operators got out of hand this season, with Sno Cone Joe trying to chase Mr. Ding-A-Ling out of the market.

The 34-year-old Malatino and 21-year-old Scott, both from Gloversville, were charged Tuesday with second-degree harassment, a violation, and fourth-degree stalking, a misdemeanor.
