Hiring Underway After OU Job Fair
Results of the Orthodox Union job fair held last month at the Young Israel of Midwood came in Tuesday, and they are encouraging.
Of the 600 people who attended, three have already been hired and 15 others have reached the second interview stage. Another 147 are in contact with prospective employers, either preparing to have an interview or having already had one.
Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-Brooklyn), who sponsored this job fair, thanked Sruli Rosner, director of the Orthodox Union’s Job Board for making the event possible, and David Stern, president of Young Israel of Midwood, for the use of the shul.
“This is tachlis,” said Hikind.
