Grain Futures Rise, Livestock Prices Fall

CHICAGO (AP) —

Grain futures rose Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery rose 21 cents to $7.0975 a bushel, May corn rose 40 cents to $6.84 a bushel, May oats rose 20.25 cents to $4.11 a bushel and May soybeans jumped 41 cents to $14.7175 a bushel.

Beef prices fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle slipped 0.05 cents to $1.2255 a pound; May feeder cattle fell 1.38 cents to $1.4042 a pound.
