NYPD: No Evidence Boston Terror Was Headed to NY
There is no evidence that the Boston Marathon bombing suspects were targeting New York City, Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said Wednesday, disputing a report that one of the terrorists had told a carjacking victim he was headed to the city.
However, Kelly added, 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev may have been planning to party in the city after the attack.
Kelly said that a photo of Tsarnaev in Times Square that was circulating may have been taken last fall, but there was nothing to suggest that he was casing the city for possible targets.
