Work on 15 Troubled Bridges Will Cause Delays

ALBANY (AP) —

Construction is beginning on 15 bridge projects statewide, with all the jobs and traffic delays that entails. In all, $44.5 million will be spent to replace bridges or install new decks.

The projects include a Taconic State Parkway bridge in Clinton Corners, Dutchess County; the Route 100 bridge in Yonkers; the Route 971V bridge to Fort Drum in Jefferson County; Route 193 Bridges over I-81 northbound and southbound in the town of Ellisburg, Jefferson County; and others in the Hudson Valley, Schenectady, Jefferson County and Sullivan County.
