Improved Israel-Vietnam Relations

Incoming Vietnam ambassador to Israel, His Excellency Mr. Ta Duy Chinh, is welcomed by Israeli President Shimon Peres at the President’s House on Thursday. Five ambassadors — from Vietnam, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Chile and Zambia — took up their duties on Thursday after presenting their credentials to the president. The new Vietnamese ambassador thanked Peres for improved relations between their two countries, particularly in the fields of agriculture and technology. President Peres responded and said, “There are 300 students from Vietnam in Israel who came here to learn about modern agriculture. This is a unique project which benefits both countries.” (FLASH90)
