Several years ago, you published an article about sending strollers to needy families in Israel. It was a beautiful article, and I was contacted by half a dozen people to arrange a delivery of a stroller to needy people in Eretz Yisrael.
I am sorry to report that in the last two years, only three people contacted me about this. While I did send eight strollers in that time period, most of them were donated by my family.
The need is great. I am constantly getting calls from Israel: “Please, we need strollers. Send more.” The Chakava Rebbe, shlita, calls me each time one comes, and spends over five minutes of his precious time detailing what a great mitzvah this is, and how it is a “techiyas hameisim” to the people who receive them.
Please do your part to get people to do one of two things, or both. We need people to give $200 to buy the strollers (we only buy them when they are on sale for $200. We will not pay the list price of $350), and the biggest need is to get people to take them to Israel. They will be picked up in Yerushalayim the day they arrive. They can be taken as luggage without charge.
Please have the donors contact me at
