Moral (and Political) Support

I read Rabbi Yaakov Menken’s opinion, “One Man’s Ceiling is Another Man’s Floor,” with great interest (September 13, page 6).

It always bothered me how otherwise Torah observant Jews could support a party where morals have reached an all-time low and it’s OK to violently protest any opposing voices.

The fact that the Left has constantly been on the Palestinians’ side, and the Left-wing media outlets cover the Israeli Palestinian conflict as if the Israelis are the ones doing all the bombings and the stabbings, is just the final straw.

By default, any Torah-true Jew leans conservative/Republican. It’s not called taking sides politically, it’s just the party that’s way more in line with Torah values than the other, the party which very clearly values life and morals.
