Free Legal Advice for Boro Park Residents

BROOKLYN

The New York Legal Assistance Group will be on hand next Monday to provide residents with access to free legal help from a van parked in the center of Boro Park.

The mobile van will be outside the office of Councilman Kalman Yeger (D-Brooklyn) at 4424 16th Avenue from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The lawyers will provide confidential legal advice at no cost on issues such as housing, identity theft, divorce, child custody, advance planning, and government programs such as Medicaid, Medicare, food stamps, and housing.

“I’m an attorney, and I know so well that legal counsel can be incredibly expensive,” Yeger said. “There is nothing more important than the law, and it can’t be only the rich who have access to it.”

Anyone interested in taking advantage of these legal services is encouraged to make an appointment at https://mobilelegalhelpcenter.acuityscheduling.com.

Additionally, Yeger sponsors free immigration-related legal services in his district office every Wednesday in partnership with City University of New York Citizenship Now. Anyone interested should call 718-853-2704 to schedule an appointment.
