IDF Breaks Up Hamas Terror Ring in Ramallah

IDF soldiers overnight Motzoei Shabbos broke up a ring of Hamas terrorists operating in the Ramallah area. The terrorists had been in direct contact with top Gaza Hamas terrorist Khaled Aldin Hamad, who coordinated with them on carrying out terror attacks. The gang was involved in several shooting attacks and conspired to commit bombings and other acts of terror. The group was also a funnel for illegal funds for Gaza from overseas.

Soldiers also shut down a printing press the gang had used to produce incitement material distributed to Arabs in Palestinian Authority-controlled areas. The materials urged PA Arabs to carry out terror attacks against Israelis, and to rise up against the current leadership of the PA and install Hamas as its leadership.

Security officials said they also arrested 19 wanted security suspects in other areas in Yehudah and Shomron over Motzoei Shabbos. The suspects were wanted for participating in rioting and throwing stones and firebombs that endangered Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers. Several of the suspects were also charged with belonging to Hamas. All were being questioned on their activities by security forces.
