Manhunt After Jewish Man Stabbed to Death at Entrance of Ariel

An Israeli man was stabbed to death in a stabbing attack at the entrance to the city of Ariel in central Shomron, Monday afternoon. The victim was stabbed multiple times in the upper body by an Arab terrorist stabber. The victim was later named as Itamar Ben-Gal, Hy”d, 29, a father of 4 from the town of Har Bracha in the Shomron region.

Officials said that the terrorist attacked his victim with two knives, at a traffic circle near the northern entrance of Ariel. The terrorist began running away after attacking the Israeli. An IDF officer saw him running with the knives in his hand, and used his vehicle to slam the terrorist. He knocked the terrorist down, but he managed to get up. The officer knocked the terrorist down again, but again he got up, and he eventually disappeared into the village of Kifl Haris, which is located across the road from Ariel.

IDF troops were massed around the village, and a search for the terrorist has begun. The victim was treated on site and then rushed in critical condition for further treatment in Petach Tikvah’s Beilinson Hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds.
