Ben Gurion Still One of Top 10 World Airports

Ben Gurion Airport has been rated the 8th best airport in the world by Travel + Leisure magazine readers, in results of a survey published Wednesday.

The New York-based travel magazine asked readers to rate their experiences at airports in terms of access, check-in and security, food, shopping and design.

Ben Gurion actually did better last year, coming in 6th place in the readers’ survey.

The unbeaten Number 1 airport in the world for the fifth consecutive year was Singapore’s Changi Airport. Changi—which boasts exceptional amenities, including napping lounges, gardens and a rooftop swimming pool—scored 90/100. The comparatively spartan Ben Gurion had 79/100.
Doha’s Hamad International Airport was the runner-up this year, and Dubai International Airport took 3rd place. Only two European airports, Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport and Zurich, made the top ten.
