Arabs Riot as Hundreds Visit Kever Yehoshua
Arab rioters threw rocks and boulders at hundreds of people who entered the kever of Yehoshua Bin-Nun in the Arab village of Kifl Haris overnight Monday. IDF soldiers used antiriot measures to ensure the security of the many people who sought to enter the area. The tziyun is located inside the Arab village, and visitors are not permitted to enter without an IDF escort.
Also overnight Monday IDF soldiers raided the Arab village of Teko’a in the Gush Etzion region, where the Arab terrorist who conducted Monday’s stabbing attack on an IDF soldier lived. The IDF forces entered the house of the terrorist and discovered large amounts of material designed to incite terror attacks against Israelis. The materials were seized, and several arrests are expected.
Overnight Monday, security officials said they arrested 15 wanted security suspects in other areas in Yehudah and Shomron. The suspects were wanted for participating in rioting and throwing stones and firebombs that endangered Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers. Several of the suspects were also charged with belonging to Hamas. All were being questioned on their activities by security forces.
