IDF Soldier Wounded in Car Ramming Attack in Gush Etzion

An IDF soldier was wounded in a car ramming attack at the Tekoa checkpoint in Gush Etzion, on Monday afternoon.

The terrorist drove his vehicle into a guard post and then toppled an electricity pole. The pole fell on the soldier, wounding him. The soldier, said to be in his 20s, was rushed to the Shaare Zedek hospital in Yerushalayim in a light to moderate condition.

The terrorist was shot and neutralized by security forces on the scene, after he exited his vehicle armed with a knife and attempted to stab other soldiers at the location. The terrorist died of his wounds.
