Homeowner Annoyed by Hawk Family in Chimney

FLANDERS, N.Y. – A woman has an annoying family of ospreys that has nested on top of her chimney since 2012, Newsday reported. Dhonna Goodale says her deck is covered in tree branches, bird droppings and half-eaten fish. Now that the mother has two hatchlings, she attacks humans who come too close.

77-year-old Woman Survives 18 Hours Pinned Under SUV

WHITEHALL, N.Y. – An elderly woman survived being pinned under her SUV for 18 hours on Monday afternoon, the Post-Star reported. Shirley Coderre, 77, exited her vehicle but forgot to shift it into park. She was knocked down by the side door and the vehicle rolled on top of her. She was discovered the next morning by a neighbor.

Dump Truck Overturns, Spilling Gravel Onto Highway

BERNARDS, N.J. – A dump truck overturned on I-287 early Wednesday, spilling gravel on the highway and causing a long backup that lasted for hours, The Associated Press reported. The truck driver was not seriously hurt.
